Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Marion, NC is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure product quality across filling, pouching, and plastics departments. You will verify equipment setup, inspect samples, and document results while adhering to cgmp standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum of 6 months experience on a production floor or in a quality control role preferred.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled line checks to verify filling equipment and production supplies are correct.
• Collect samples and verify containers, components and over-pouch meet quality standards.
• Examine and verify packaging equipment performance meets quality standards.
• Test and confirm that batch information and product status are correct.
• Make minor operational decisions and provide guidance in the supervisor’s absence.
• Train and act as a resource to other Quality Inspectors.
• Participate in teams to drive process and equipment improvements.
• Transport samples using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).
• Document and initiate the exception process in POMS.
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
