Job summary

5th Axis is seeking a Quality Inspector to safeguard incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products through dimensional inspection and precise documentation.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. PC-DMIS/CMM programs may be used as required, with clear communication of results to Quality and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and tolerances.
• Experience with precision-measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Ability to read travelers, routers, and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect raw materials, WIP components, and finished products against requirements.
• Read blueprints and inspection documentation to verify dimensions.
• Apply GD&T during inspections of precision-machined components.
• Use inspection tools and run CMM programs when qualified.
• Document inspection results and communicate findings to teams.
