Job summary

Scientific Tool, Inc. is seeking an Inspection Technician to perform inspections and quality checks on machined components. The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to uphold specifications and customer requirements.

The candidate will read drawings, use calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other instruments, document results, and support root-cause investigations while maintaining accurate inspection records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of dimensional inspection and measurement.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills to enter inspection data.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other tools.
• Operate and assist with CMMs, optical comparators, or vision systems.
• Document results and maintain quality records.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Communicate inspection results to production and help resolve issues.
• Ensure materials meet specifications before release.
• Maintain inspection equipment and area.
• Follow ISO requirements and safety policies.
