Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure materials, components, and processes meet defined standards. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products, documenting findings and collaborating with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.

The role requires 2+ years of QA/quality inspection experience, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency with precision inspection tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or QA, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality documentation systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, or AWS (as applicable).
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of measurement and test equipment calibration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality policies.
• Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in internal and external audits, as required.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Utilize a variety of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
