How You’ll Make An Impact

The Quality Inspector will have knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, customer specifications, and a dedication to being part of a world class manufacturing team.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Quality Inspector

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, California location.
  • Responsible for inspection of parts by checking key characteristics of parts being manufactured in work centers. Ensuring all range forms are properly completed on a daily basis.
  • Determine compliance with order specification and inspection for conformity to specified standards to ensure any non-conformities are identified.
  • Report to QA Supervisor about production, quality and job status on a timely basis
  • Ability to understand and interpret supplier certifications and test documents
  • Conducts conventional inspection to engineering requirements using height gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and other standard inspection methods
  • Examines manufacturing plans, engineering documents, and drawings to determine product requirements per ASME Y14.5 specification
  • Prints and follows inspection staging requirements
  • Ensures documents are kept up to date
  • Completes all daily record keeping requirements.
  • Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authorities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications (Education, Skills, And Experience)

  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize activities within an environment of fast-paced periods of competing deadlines and fluctuating workload
  • Able to work off shifts with little or no supervision
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Two years’ experience as a QA Inspector in the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Standard
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques, measuring, and trigonometry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and MRP systems

Work Environment

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

Compensation And Benefits

Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match.

The Quality Inspector Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $22 – 26/ hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
