Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions – Top Prospect Group in Shelton, CT is hiring Quality Inspectors and CMM Operators for the 2nd shift. This four-month temp-to-hire opportunity offers $25-$30 per hour, with potential to move to a full-time role.

Shifts may vary: Monday–Thursday or M-F, including a split 4pm–2:30am option. You will inspect components, operate CMM equipment, read blueprints, record measurements, and support calibration and NCR activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience preferred.
• Strong experience operating CMM equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of calibration and inspection procedures.
• ISO9001 or IATF16949 experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on manufactured components.
• Operate CMM equipment and inspection tools.
• Measure part tolerances and document inspection results.
• Read and interpret technical prints and engineering drawings.
• Support calibration procedures and inspection activities.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
• Support NCRs, corrective actions, and containment activities.
• Follow quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
