Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Starfall program at the Bloomfield, CT site. You will inspect sewing, cutting, and marking of soft goods, verify conformance to drawings, and document non-conformances as part of a safe, reliable space hardware supply chain.

The role requires in-process and final inspections, camera-based documentation, and collaboration with engineering for Root Cause and disposition actions.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting aerospace soft goods such as parachutes or canopies is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders and specifications.
• Experience documenting non-conformances and using a work-order system.
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles and lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of sewing, stitching, cut parts, and marks to verify conformance.
• Perform secondary verification of critical work-order operations.
• Inspect final completed soft goods and document non-conformances.
• Capture inspection photos of hardware and non-conformances as required.
• Maintain calibration records, track tools, and coordinate with engineering for disposition.
