Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to check trailer quality through tests, monitor production processes, and identify malfunctions. The role emphasizes proper PPE usage and collaboration with the plant manufacturing team to deliver a high-quality product daily.

The inspector will track assessments, use iAuditor templates, and ensure compliance with quality standards from raw materials through final assembly, maintaining QA data and reporting on KPIs.

• Checks the quality of trailers for Big Tex Trailers by conducting tests, monitoring production processes, and identifying malfunctions.
• Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
• Collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.
• Tracks quality assessments to ensure the plant output meets expectations daily.
• Utilizes checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.
• Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
• Performs detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
• Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.
• Performs other duties as required.
