Job summary

Big Tex Trailers seeks a Quality Control Inspector to test trailers, monitor production, and identify malfunctions. You will ensure PPE compliance and work with the manufacturing team to deliver top-quality products.

You will track quality assessments, use checklists and iAuditor templates, and monitor KPIs daily. The role follows the full manufacturing process and requires attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds.
• Frequently exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
• Continuously exposed to a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Check the quality of trailers by conducting tests and monitoring production processes.
• Identify malfunctions and ensure appropriate PPE is used.
• Collaborate with plant manufacturing and operations staff to deliver high-quality products.
• Track quality assessments to ensure daily plant output meets standards.
• Use checklists and iAuditor templates to monitor processes and report KPI status.
• Follow product through the full manufacturing process to ensure steps are completed as designed.
• Inspect raw materials and final products for conformance to standards.
• Record and maintain quality assurance data.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
• Collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.
• Tracks quality assessments to ensure the plant output meets expectations daily.
• Utilizes checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.
• Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
• Performs detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
• Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.
• Performs other duties as required.
