Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure trailers meet standards from raw materials through finished product. You will perform detailed inspections, document findings, and work with manufacturing teams to maintain high quality and safety on the plant floor.

The role requires attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to operate in a dynamic production environment while handling up to 40+ pounds safely.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing or verbally.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering up to 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers and raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with plant manufacturing and operations staff to deliver high-quality products.
• Monitor production processes and track quality assessments daily.
• Use checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor and report on plant quality KPIs.
• Follow products through manufacturing to ensure each step is completed as intended.
• Maintain and record quality assurance data and documentation.

Quality Control InspectorJob Summary:Checks the quality of trailers for Big Tex Trailers by conducting tests, monitoring production processes, and identifying malfunctions.Appropriate usage of all required PPE.Collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.Tracks quality assessments to ensure the plant output meets expectations daily.Utilizes checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.Performs detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.Performs other duties as required.Job Qualifications:Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds.Frequently exposed to outside temperatures and weather.Continuously exposed to a manufacturing/industrial environment..Big Tex Trailers strives to provide a safe, drug, and alcohol-free environment for its employees and guests.
