Job summary

Liberty Steel in Warren, OH is seeking a Quality Inspector for 2nd shift (4:30 PM–3:00 AM, Mon–Thu, with overtime). You will inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, read blueprints, and document results in accordance with work instructions.

• Complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Report defective materials or products that are out of tolerance to operators and supervisors to ensure proper adjustments.
• Identify products that fail to meet specifications and contain them.
• Problem solve and recommend necessary adjustments to meet production standards.
• Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products in a specific area.
• Operate label maker for non-conforming products.

The role involves ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing process, utilizing various measurement tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work instructions using micrometers, calipers, tape measure, height gauge, depth gauge, protractor, and fixtures.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently.

Work Environment

Work in a steel manufacturing environment that is loud and requires hearing protection. The facility is large, consisting of three buildings with massive presses for stamping automotive parts. This is a dirtier environment that is not temperature-controlled. Uniforms are provided, and the work is headquartered in Warren, Ohio, where state-of-the-art stamping and blanking services are offered. Employees work in the part of the facility where all of the press machines are located.

This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $45000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
