Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Quality Inspector to join our team in Waltham, MA.

Vicarious Surgical is a next-generation robotics company developing disruptive technology aimed at increasing the efficiency of surgical procedures, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.

This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector professional to join our company at an exciting time and be a key member of a mission-driven, diverse, and kind team, leading Vicarious into its next phase of hyper-growth and market disruption. This is an onsite position (5 days/week).

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections to ensure that products and documentation meet design requirements, utilizing all aspects of GD&T and associated test methods.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of machined parts, 3D printed parts, and mechanical sub-assemblies to ensure conformity to design specifications.
• Inspect electrical components, including PCBA boards, for visual, continuity, and functional features.
• Follow established First Article Inspection procedures and Quality Inspection plans.
• Develop and document new inspection test methods, CMM programs, optical CMM programming, and fixturing.
• Develop and maintain the Design History Record (DHR) for each incoming and finished product.
• Maintain all incoming inspection logs, forms, and test records.
• Support equipment identification and routine calibration maintenance.

About You

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of inspection techniques, GD&T tolerancing, and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and component specifications, applying appropriate metrology methods.
• ESD training, IPC620, and IPC610 certifications.
• Effective communication skills, both electronically and orally, in one-on-one and small group settings with employees and suppliers.
• Start-up medical device experience and experience in a fast-paced development environment.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, manufacturing, and database software.
