• GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Quality Engineer, perform routine in-process and final quality inspection duties. Work includes a variety of inspection tasks, involving precise measurements, where products have exacting dimensional tolerances and cosmetic inspections. Position requires over 1 year and up to 3 years of inspection experience in the plastic injection molding industry.

*This is a 2nd shift position 3pm-11pm, M-F*

• PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
• Work from established inspection procedures, customer specifications and drawings, and other quality criteria to verify product meets required specifications.
• Use of precision measuring and testing equipment including micrometers, calipers, verniers, gage pins, vision systems, CMM machine, Keyence system, comparator, and other specialized inspection equipment.
• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections and determine if the part produced is within specification.
• Complete non-conformance reports as required.
• Create detailed inspection documentation for new products.
• Segregate defective products and disposition as directed.
• Perform First Article Inspection reports, create product certification documents, and other quality reports for shipments.
• Participate in Material Review Board and assist in non-conforming material disposition.
• Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to immediate supervisor.
• Comply with all company safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Work regularly involves concentrated visual acuity and mental attention, finger dexterity, and eye/hand coordination.
• Read and understand product drawings and requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
