Role Overview

The role requires a highly motivated Quality Inspector to perform receiving, in‑process, final inspection, and first‑article approval of manufactured and assembled hardware. The candidate must verify processes to ensure drawing and material specifications are satisfied, work in a manufacturing environment, demonstrate computer knowledge, be a self‑starter, and pay close attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect received material, in‑process, and finished components utilizing mechanical, electronic, and visual measuring equipment in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications.
• Generate inspection records and reports (DIRs, FAIRs, and other necessary documentation) in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100 Specification.
• Verify that paint, anodize, chem‑film and other processes are applied per applicable drawing and specification requirements.
• Interface with machinists and production personnel to determine if quality issues exist.
• Verify calibrated tools to ensure gages and measuring instruments are within their calibration interval prior to use.
• Isolate or quarantine nonconforming material and document and control it per Hera Quality procedures and work instructions.
• Approve first‑article inspections and certify compliance with drawing and material specifications.
• Perform duties such as lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required, and navigating the warehouse to reach items high and low.
• Operate a PC and utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for inspection records and data entry.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of inspection/quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret drawings, including GD&T.
• Knowledge of mechanical measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, scales, pin and radius gages, height gages, surface finish comparators, dial indicators, etc.
• Familiarity with programmable CMM/PCMM (Faro Arm / Romer Arm with laser line probe) and experience with Verisurf and PC‑DMIS is a plus.
• Experience generating Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIRs) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi‑task and prioritize inspection duties in a fast‑changing environment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform the required physical tasks.
• Understanding of purchase order requirements and verification of Certificate of Conformance.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Range: $28–$31/hr. Schedule: 2:00 to 10:30 pm, Monday to Friday with OT as needed. Base Location: 100 % at 350 Imperial Blvd., Cape Canaveral, FL 32920, USA.
