Quality Inspector
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Inspector (Incoming Components) for our client, a leading medical device manufacturer in St. Louis, Missouri. Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM

Length of assignment: Until end of 2025

Pay: $25 an hour

Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance of received and internal components, assemblies, and products to design requirements through physical, visual, and specialized testing and inspection.
2. Assist in creating, validating, and implementing receiving inspection and test processes to ensure component/product compliance.
3. Work with Procurement and suppliers as necessary to communicate and help resolve receiving inspection issues, documentation issues, nonconformances, etc.
4. Perform receiving inspection functions on machined, molded, electrical, and similar components, utilizing measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems, etc.
5. Document inspection results per company procedures.
6. Release components to inventory based on receiving inspection results in accordance with procedures.
7. Interpret and implement various statistical tools including ANSI standard sampling plans, process control charts, and capability analysis. Create, update, and implement procedures and work instructions related to inspection and data gathering/analysis.
8. Utilize computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets to document and analyze quality inspection data.
9. Utilize sterile techniques for specific material inspections.
10. Read and interpret blueprints and specification documents.
11. Provide clear documentation of Gauge R R Studies results.
12. Support CGMP documentation practices across manufacturing environments.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in Geometrical Dimensional GD&T Drawing Interpretation required.
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
• Basic statistical knowledge including trends, Pareto charts, and basic charting techniques.
• Five years of Quality Assurance/Control experience, particularly in a medical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and demonstrate manual dexterity for using hand tools.
