Job description

*THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME ROLE; IT'S A 1099 CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY*

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Phase 1
    • Observe the unloading process at the end-client warehouse, which is supposed to be indoors.
    • The end customer will conduct inspections independently, deciding how thoroughly to check (e.g., verify all 66 gaskets or just confirm the presence of the gasket bag).
    • Main task is to ensure all items are complete.
    • Record what has been checked by the end client.
    • Document any missing parts promptly to facilitate communication with our client in Italy.
    • Compare the end-client inspection list with the packing list.
    • The final packing list will be available 15 days prior to arrival.
    • Focus of inspection will be on large steel parts and semi-assembled machinery components.
    • Provide detailed photographic documentation.
    • Establish a finding list to be signed by both parties.
  2. Phase 2
    • An expert from Italy will join the final commissioning as an observer, providing assembly advice and monitoring welding.
    • Depending on the duration, the Italian expert may not stay for the entire period; in this case, the observation will continue without them.
    • Required skill set includes mechanical engineering, welding experience, NDT knowledge, and electrical background for wiring and cable routing checks.
    • Phase 2 is most likely to start in Q3/Q4.
Industry Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or mechanical inspections.
  • Electrical skills for cable routing are preferable but not mandatory; electrical expertise is necessary.
  • Background in mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Experience in welding and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
Inspection Products:
  • Steel construction, with final structures reaching 10-15 meters in height.
  • Semi-assembled parts.
  • Accessories for assembly, such as gaskets.
Job Details:
  • Type: 1099 contract.
  • Project duration varies within a 1099 contract framework.
  • Shift hours may vary; maximum of 8 hours on-site during business hours (Monday to Friday).
  • Must be able to commute to St. Louis, USA, with potential future travel to other MO areas after project completion.
