Qualifications

Trinity Rail is hiring a Senior Quality Inspector, Mobile Repair at our Wood River, IL plant.

What You'll Do:

1. Perform inspections of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or materials to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements. Conduct standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection, and record and analyze results.
2. Utilize industry-specific tests and testing equipment.
3. Perform non-destructive tests using automated and manual techniques to identify errors or defects.
4. Test during production and on finished products, following all safety rules and practices.
5. Participate in safety committees or Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
7. For new hires, previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level.
8. Extensive experience with inspection tools and measuring equipment.
9. Apply and utilize quality science independently.
10. Must be certified VT Level II.
11. Possibly certified Level II in appropriate NDE methods.
12. Perform final inspections at multiple hold points and processes.
13. Work requires planning and judgment.
14. Develop approaches to solve a broad range of complex problems.

Qualifications:

1. 2-4 years of related experience.
2. Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently.
3. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
