Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector for a 6+ month contract located in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The role requires extensive FAI knowledge, GD&T interpretation, and proficiency with inspection tools.

The candidate will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, and ensure proper documentation and 5S adherence. Responsibilities include reviewing FAIs, communicating findings to customers, and maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of FAIs and AS9102 requirements.
• Ability to interpret GD&T drawings and documentation.
• Proficient with inspection equipment maintenance and use.
• Familiar with CORE tools and quality processes.
• Certified Quality Inspector with hands-on shop floor experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first piece, in-process, and final inspections per the Job Instructions Sheet.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and Delta FAI per AS9102 requirements.
• Document inspection results, stamp quality paperwork, and maintain 5S at workstations.
• Review FAIs to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Explain FAIs to customers on-site or via calls and communicate status across the organization.

Quality Inspector

Position type: Full Time, Contract
Duration: 6 + months with possible extension
Location: Simpsonville, South Carolina

Responsibilities

• Applicant must have extensive knowledge of creating and reviewing FAIs.
• Perform job inspection at first piece, in process and final inspection per the Job Instructions Sheet plans.
• Knowledge of WHMA and IPC specifications
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and Delta FAI per AS9102 requirements.
• Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of gages and inspection equipment.
• Perform proper documentation including inspection stamping of quality paperwork.
• Maintain and improve 5S standards on workstations and responsible areas.
• Adhere to company EH&S policies and guidelines.
• Review FAIs to ensure completion.
• Balloon Drawing for FAI completion.
• Meet with customers either on-site or via calls to explain FAIs, if needed.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization on the status of FAIs.

Required Skill Sets

• Able to interpret technical (GD&T) drawings.
• Highly proficient in using handheld tools (micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator and other measuring and test equipment.
• General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Able to raise simple reports.
• Understand CORE tools.
• Certified Quality Inspector.

Pay Range*: $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
