Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an Industrial Engineer-Lean Manufacturing for a 3-month contract in North Charleston, SC. The role focuses on applying IE concepts to optimize production systems, design and implement process improvements, and lead Lean initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Lean manufacturing and 3+ years as an Industrial/CI/Process Engineer, plus Aerospace/Defense experience and a BS in Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 2+ years in Aerospace/Defense industry in the last 7 years.
• 3+ years in Lean manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
• 3+ years as Industrial/Continuous Improvement/Process Engineer.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Industrial Engineer-Lean Manufacturing Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 3 Months with possible extension Location: North Charleston, SC -Onsite

Responsibilities

• Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.
• Designs, develops, analyzes, tests, evaluates and implements processes and technology insertions by applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency, and after-market services.
• Monitors performance supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
• Translates engineering, systems, and mathematical concepts to practical applications throughout the product life cycle.
• Research emerging technologies and develops industrial engineering tools and processes.
• Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
• Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
• Develops moderately complex models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
• Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
• Leads metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans, related to our team's productivity, efficiency and first-time quality, including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 2+ Years of experience in last 7 years in Aerospace/Defense Industry.
• 2+ years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
• 3+ years of experience working in a Lean manufacturing with knowledge in lean principles.
• 3+ Years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer or Continuous Improvement Engineer or Process Engineer.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience developing and deploying standard processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Commercial Aircraft experience preferred.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $55/hr to $62/hr *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
