Job summary

RTC is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee day-to-day dock operations, supervise forklift drivers and material handlers, and coordinate outbound orders for daily shipment.

You will collaborate with the warehouse and internal teams to address shortages, changes, and packing/ loading needs while pushing continuous improvements and ensuring 6-S sanitation in the shipping department. A high school diploma is required with 2–3 years of supervisory warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a larger-scale warehouse.
• Experience with barcode solutions in a warehouse or plant environment.
• Experience with an MRP/ERP system.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day Shipping operations, manage floor staff, and optimize the supply chain to ensure goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently. Balance labor management, safety compliance, and data-driven workflow improvements.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for overseeing all daily dock shipping activities
• Supervise shipping forklift drivers and material handlers.
• Coordinate timely pulling and staging of all outbound orders to ship daily, working closely with the internal warehouse department.
• Work closely with warehouse and internal departments on shortages and order changes.
• Coordinate packing and loading of all shipments.
• Work closely with the internal shipping department on OTR driver, trailer coordination, and pickups.
• Monitor the carrier’s drivers and time of arrival and ensure that pick-up times are met.
• Involvement in daily meetings to review current and future order requirements.
• Involvement in the continuous development of process improvements and productivity enhancements.
• Support and enforce the 6-S sanitation process within the shipping department.
• Monitor staffing levels to meet daily shipping requirements.

Education, Experience, Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Experience

• 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a larger-scale warehouse, supervising the warehouse picking, shipping, or receiving function.
• Experience with barcode solutions in a warehouse or plant environment a plus.
• Experience with an MRP/ERP system

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $48,056-$71,122 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results. Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date. Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
