Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Richmond, VA to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections ensuring products meet engineering specs and customer requirements. This role supports continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will use precision measuring tools, interpret drawings, initiate NCRs, and communicate issues to production and leadership. The position offers hourly compensation of $22.00-$25.00 and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing.
  • 2+ years reading engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
  • Identify nonconforming material and initiate NCRs.
  • Communicate quality issues to production and leadership teams.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce defects.
  • Maintain a clean, 5S-aligned work area.

Job Requirements
What You\'ll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or heat exchanger manufacturing
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience with NCR documentation and root cause analysis
  • Basic computer/data entry experience (Excel, ERP systems)
  • Familiarity with QC processes and documentation
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
  • Ability to document inspection results and communicate findings effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
