About the Opportunity:
  • The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure manufactured products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, reducing defects, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
  • Identify nonconforming material and initiate NCRs as needed.
  • Communicate quality issues to production and leadership teams.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and variation.
  • Perform random audits to verify process compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Additional Qualifications (What Sets You Apart):
  • Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or heat exchanger manufacturing.
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience with NCR documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Basic computer/data entry experience (Excel, ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with QC processes and documentation.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Ability to document inspection results and communicate findings effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality.
