Job summary

Pride Mobility Products Corporation is seeking a quality inspector to perform final visual and physical inspections on finished goods to ensure adherence to order specifications, production standards and FDA regulations.   • Inspect finished product for defects and ensure it meets tolerances and specifications.
  • Ensure conformance to order specs and FDA regulations.
  • Document product information in the ProductionWare (Matrix) system and DHR.
  • Communicate concerns with management in a team setting.
  • Follow Work Instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Observe safety rules and report incidents promptly.
  • Complete annual CTPAT Security Training.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and sound business judgment.
  • Collaborate with Pride departments to exceed expectations.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; keep aisles clear.

Hourly Wage: $17.75

DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

Perform final visual and physical inspections on finished goods to meet order specifications, production standards and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Inspect finished product for defects or imperfections in aesthetics and function and to ensure tolerances and product specifications are met
  • Ensure conformance to order specifications and FDA regulations
  • Utilize the ProductionWare (Matrix) system and ensure that all pertinent product information is documented and recorded onto the Device History Record (DHR)
  • Use a team-oriented approach and communicate concerns and issues to management
  • Follow Work Instructions and perform duties assigned with minimal supervision
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have the ability to:

  • Read and interpret work instructions, work orders, inspection criteria, tape measures, policies, and procedures
  • Identify and record facts
  • Stand/Walk/Bend throughout the workday
  • Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs.

Must have:

  • Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
  • A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least 6 months of Quality Assurance experience OR at least 2 years of experience in a hands-on assembly or manufacturing role with specific quality guidelines/standards
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
