Job description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our production facility in Ontario. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense in maintaining safety and quality standards, ensuring that everything from incoming raw materials to finished products meets strict guidelines. This position is ideal for an experienced quality professional who thrives in a structured manufacturing environment and prefers a consistent, early-morning schedule.

What Success Looks Like

Daily success in this role means arriving on time for the early morning shift, conducting thorough, scheduled testing, and maintaining highly accurate records. You will work closely with production operators, identifying and flagging any deviations before they become larger issues. Over time, success means helping our facility maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards, minimizing waste, and ensuring that our customers receive safe, high-quality products every single day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical, sensory, and compliance testing on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Take product samples at scheduled intervals for physical, chemical, and microbiological analysis.
  • Evaluate incoming raw materials, document supplier performance, and formally approve or reject shipments based on established quality standards.
  • Monitor active production runs to verify that final assemblies match the Bill of Materials (BOM) and meet all product specifications.
  • Identify quality deviations, document findings, and communicate issues to production and quality leadership, placing products on hold when necessary.
  • Ensure production lines follow sanitation and safety procedures throughout the shift.
  • Complete data entry, maintain quality logs, and handle administrative quality control projects.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and calibrated laboratory equipment and tools.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to read, understand, and follow complex technical procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and able to pass E-Verify.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) verification or product change notifications.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or formal food safety/sanitation guidelines.
