Job summary

Randstad USA in Agawam, MA is seeking a Quality Technician III to lead advanced quality processes. You will program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS, FARO, and Micro-Vu, and mentor Level I/II inspectors while driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

This full-time role offers a pay range of $25.00–$32.00 per hour plus a bonus plan, a 401(k) match up to 4%, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, PTO, and education support.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS.
  • Proficient in PC-DMIS programming, blueprint reading, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to present technical data to customers, clients, and internal teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Metrology: Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS, FARO, and Micro-Vu tools.
  • Technical Leadership: Train and develop new hires and inspectors; lead Quality Walk Audits.
  • Project Management: Lead Continuous Improvement projects and establish corrective actions.
  • Inspections & Standards: Perform dimensional verification for PPAP and First Article parts using GD&T concepts.
  • Documentation: Release products by ensuring certifications and customer documentation are accurate.
  • Metrics & Auditing: Collect and present quality metrics; audit processes.

Quality Technician III

Location: Agawam, MA

Pay Range: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

The Role As a Quality Technician III, you are a senior-level expert responsible for ensuring manufacturing excellence. You will lead the development and improvement of quality processes, utilizing advanced metrology tools to exceed customer expectations. This role combines high-level technical execution with mentorship and leadership within the Quality Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Metrology: Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS, as well as FARO & Micro-Vu equipment.
  • Technical Leadership: Train and develop new hires and Level I/II inspectors; lead Quality Walk Audits.
  • Project Management: Suggest and execute Continuous Improvement projects and establish closed-loop corrective actions for process failures.
  • Inspections & Standards: Perform dimensional verification for PPAP and First Article parts using GD&T concepts.
  • Documentation: Release products for shipping by ensuring all certifications and customer-required documentation are accurate.
  • Metrics & Auditing: Collect and present quality metrics; audit internal workmanship and documentation processes.
Additional Key Responsibilities
  • Release product for shipping by ensuring proper documentation/certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements
  • Understand and apply basic GD&T concepts ? Proficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts
  • Provide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation/development of manufacturing related documentation and providing or teaching proper measuring techniques
  • Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at “receiving” as outlined by the process
  • Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics
  • Program and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment proficiently
  • Program and run CMM's using PC-DMIS software
  • Audit internal processes including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification
  • Work to establish closed loop cause and corrective action in reaction to customer complaints and internal process failures
  • Trained and efficient in all aspects of the position
  • Work quickly, efficiently, and without quality issues
  • Provide on-the-job training for new quality inspectors with daily responsibilities
  • Support management through implementing and communicating ideas, projects, practices, and decision outcomes to the Quality team
  • Suggest and complete Continuous Improvement Projects
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PC-DMIS programming, blueprint reading, and engineering drawings.
  • Mathematics: ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret complex graphs.
  • Education: Associate degree in a related field and/or formal PC-DMIS training preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to present technical data to customers, clients, and internal teams effectively.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, handle materials, and perform high-precision visual inspections.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts.
