Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, travelers, and process sheets.
• Conduct inspections according to customer and company inspection plans.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to management.
• Provide guidance and support to Quality Inspectors and production personnel.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Assist with quality reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Management Reviews and other quality-related meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Senior Quality Inspector, Westford, MA, F/T Direct Hire – $35 -$40 Pr/hr
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join our client’s growing manufacturing team in Westford, MA. This role is responsible for performing and overseeing quality inspections of precision machined components while ensuring compliance with company, customer, and industry quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced with precision measurement equipment, and capable of mentoring other inspectors.
The successful candidate will be a quality-focused professional with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. They will thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment and take pride in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined parts using a variety of measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, travelers, and process sheets.
• Conduct inspections according to customer and company inspection plans.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to management.
• Provide guidance and support to Quality Inspectors and production personnel.
• Participate in internal and external audits.

Desired Background/Skills:

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment – Calipers, Micrometers, Height gauges, Comparators and Other standard inspection tools
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and quality documentation systems.

Preferred

• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Ability to extract and analyze CMM data.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Knowledge of Cpk calculations and process capability analysis.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience in a quality department.
