Job summary

Gordon Memorial Hospital District seeks a Quality Improvement Director to lead the Hospital Quality Improvement and Assurance Program (QAPI) and Patient Safety initiatives. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, performance improvement, and a culture of safety, collaborating with the Leadership Team, Board, and CEO.

Responsibilities include chairing the QAPI committee, reporting to the Board, coordinating data submissions for MBQIP and CMS, maintaining dashboards, educating staff on QI

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; RN license strongly preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred in Nursing, Hospital Administration or Business Administration.
• CPHQ certification preferred; willingness to pursue within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Leads the QAPI committee, sets agendas, tracks projects, and reports to the Board.
• Ensures data collection/reporting for MBQIP, CMS, QIO/QIN, and CMS requirements.
• Maintains Quality Improvement Dashboard metrics with leadership and departments.
• Educates staff on QI tools and designs/process improvements.
• Acts as risk management coordinator and supports compliance with regulations.
