Job summary

SourcePro Search in Hackensack, NJ is seeking an experienced Director of Quality Control / Quality Assurance to lead and manage our quality programs in a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will be a Certified SQF Practitioner with a proven track record in audits (SQF, FDA, customer, third-party) and extensive experience in both foodservice and retail segments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
• Certified SQF Practitioner (REQUIRED).
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with both foodservice and retail channels.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all QC/QA activities across food manufacturing operations.
• Maintain and improve SQF program; act as SQF Practitioner.
• Lead all audits (SQF, FDA, customer, third-party) and close non-conformities.
• Implement and monitor HACCP plans and GMPs; develop SOPs.
• Supervise QA/QC team and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to optimize quality.
