Job summary

PPS-HPS is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Director to own food safety, quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness for a growing US-based food manufacturing operation.

This hands-on leader will oversee HACCP, SQF, FSMA, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen controls, traceability, labeling, CAPA, recalls, and audits, while guiding the Food Safety & Quality team and collaborating with Production, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain to drive performance.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of food safety/quality experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 2-3 years in a USDA-regulated facility.
• HACCP certification required or attainable; SQF Practitioner or PCQI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HACCP, SQF, FSMA, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, allergen controls, traceability, labeling, CAPA, recalls, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as key contact for USDA/FSIS, customers, and third-party audits.
• Lead and develop the Food Safety & Quality team and collaborate with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain.
