We have an opening for a Quality and Food Safety Compliance Supervisor based in our City of Industry, California beverage manufacturing facility. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the regulatory and quality compliance activities for the site, including activities related to FSSC22000, the Food Safety Modernization Act, QMS, Non-GMO, Organic, and Kosher programs. You will also assist the Quality and Food Safety Director with compliance activities and facilitate related processes.

Scope of Role

The QFS Compliance Supervisor oversees compliance activities at the Danone COI manufacturing facility and warehouses, reporting directly to the QFS Director and managing a team of 3-4 individuals.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure quality and regulatory compliance across the facility, coordinating audits with agencies such as LACF, CDFA, QAI, and others, and following up on CAPAs for non-conformances.
  2. Maintain all systems related to FSSC certification and compliance programs including Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Organic, and Kosher.
  3. Serve as Food Safety Team leader and SME of Danone FSI, driving improvements in food safety and quality processes.
  4. Develop, implement, verify, and update the Quality System and Document Control System, ensuring proper documentation of HACCP/FSHCP, FSMA, and GMP activities.
  5. Oversee complaint management, pest control, and traceability programs.
  6. Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning, maintaining records for audits.
  7. Lead or support root cause investigations collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Support the implementation of IWS Quality Pillar activities.
  9. Lead the annual Management Review of the QMS.
  10. Develop and deliver quality and food safety training programs.
  11. Review and approve specification changes as part of the specification management program.
  12. Supervise the QFS Compliance team, assign tasks, develop team members, and evaluate performance. Cover for the QFS Lab Supervisor/QFS Director when absent.
  13. Stay current with regulatory and certifying agency guidelines.
  14. Promote a safe work environment by following safety practices.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include performance bonuses, medical, dental, vision, prescriptions, 401k, wellness programs, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, flexible time off, and parental leave.

About You
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, with a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to perform complex data and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, record keeping, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage critical functions calmly and systematically.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, laboratory equipment, and familiarity with Quality Solutions Software and LIMS is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
