Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings in Manteno, Illinois is seeking a QC Inspector for an hourly, on-site role reporting to the QC Supervisor. You will conduct line clearance, perform material and product testing, and ensure documentation supports traceability and audits.

You must have a high school diploma and basic math and computer skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with science background preferred.
• Competence in math and basic calculations, plus computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize non-conformances to SOPs.
• Good organization and thorough reporting abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Conducts line inspections prior to start-up and verifies checklist compliance.
• Performs swab and allergen tests and communicates results for line release.
• Documents GMP compliance and results in SafetyChain.
• Conducts metal detector tests every 2 hours on all lines and records results.
• Flags non-conforming items with MRB-HOLD and records in MRB log.
• Maintains lab cleanliness and retains samples for traceability.
• Prepares incident reports for SOP non-compliance.
• Inspects incoming raw materials and supports QA/QC processes.
