Job summary

GFF is seeking a QC Inspector for Manteno, IL, reporting to the QC Supervisor. The role conducts line clearance and routine analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include preserving documentation for traceability and audits, ensuring SOP adherence, and promptly reporting non-conformances. The position requires attention to detail and collaboration with production and QA teams.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate with science coursework or equivalent experience.
• Strong math and calculation skills; comfortable with computers.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances to SOPs.
• Good organizational and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform line clearance inspections before start-up and verify items on Line Clearance Approval sheet.
• Conduct swab and allergen tests and communicate results to production.
• Record results in SafetyChain and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Run metal detector tests every 2 hours and document results.
• Tag non-conforming materials with MRB-HOLD and maintain MRB logs.
• Collect retention samples for traceability and audits.
• Ensure GMP compliance and proper handling of raw materials to prevent spoilage.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lab.
