NOTICE OF VACANT POSITION

QUALITY FINAL INSPECTOR- WEATHERIZATION – FAYETTEVILLE, NC

Closing Date: Open until filled

Employment Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt

Starting Pay: $17.00 hourly

Amount of Travel Required: 85%

  • Overview Of General Responsibilities And Duties
    • Employee must provide superior customer service in all interactions. Accuracy in final inspection is essential to quality work. Independent actions must be in line with program regulations, agency policies, and safety compliance. Employee must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, from customers to contractors to grantor representatives.
    • Conducts quality monitoring and inspections by a prepared schedule. Completes appropriate checklist. Conducts post inspections to ensure work has been performed as prescribed and meets ACTION PATHWAYS, INC. requirements and grantor regulations. Communicates significant issues identified during quality assurance activities to the affected peer and supervisor. Prepares report of findings, concerns and recommendations.
    • Assists in educating customers about energy savings and related energy issues. Provides literature and responds to questions.
    • Transfers data accurately into computer program(s). Prepares and submits work orders and material information to the contractor, ensuring work is completed promptly to remain on target with the contract.
    • Assist the Project Manager in responding to complaints, if any. Conducts intake, investigates allegations, interviews potential witnesses, and prepares a report on findings with recommendations.

  • Qualifications
    • Education: Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) in field related to “green” industries on housing.
    • Experience: One to two years related experience in the field of energy or housing; or equivalent combination of experience and education or training.
    • General Requirements
      • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prepare spreadsheets. Must possess computer proficiency to learn AR4CA within 30 days of hire.
      • Certificates & Licenses: It is the employee's responsibility to obtain and keep current all certifications, licenses, health cards, etc. Must have current driver’s license and own vehicle. 40 hours of Weatherization training and testing within 120 days. Lead Renovator's Certification within 90 days. OSHA 30 Hour Training within 120 days. First aid/CPR within 90 days. Fit Testing for mask/respirator within 90 days. On-the-job training provided.
      • Other Requirements: Ability to work independently and with diverse groups. Emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, detail orientation, teamwork, and strong communication skills. Ability to complete projects on schedule and independently.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Background check with state and Federal law enforcement required. Pre-employment drug/alcohol screening with negative result required, as per policy. Random testing may be required. Valid NC driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
