Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to perform dimensional and mechanical inspections on development and validation products. Under engineering, you will maintain PFMEA/Control Plan/Process Flow/ECRs and assist in operator training while supporting metrology and PPAP documentation.

You will participate in continuous improvement, run experiments, and aid in statistical analysis, with responsibility for operating inspection equipment and reducing scrap through MRB

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred or equivalent PM work experience.
• 2 years Engineering experience or Manufacturing background in a PM environment.
• Forward thinking, open-minded, methodical, and aggressive problem solving.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Good Leadership qualities
• Able to work with little or no supervision, in a fast paced multi task environment.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Willingness and desire to learn
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, Plexus and Mini-tab

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and mechanical inspection / layouts for new and existing product that are of a development or product validation nature.
• Under the direction of an engineer maintain and develop PFMEA / Control Plan / Process Flow / ECRs.
• Work with the Engineering performing various tasks related to customer concerns and production part quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor and monitor progress under the direction of an engineer.
• Perform experiments under the direction of an engineer and aid in the statistical analysis of the results.
• Under the direction of an engineer, assist in operator training on new and existing product.
• Assist the engineer in development of proper control charts and limits
• Initiates all PPAP / Prototype documentation.
• Develops appearance reports under the guidance of the product engineer.
• Assists with Metrology efforts for new and current products (gage design and selection).
• Operates inspection equipment (Handheld gaging, CMMs, Optical comparators, Hardness tester, Density scales, Part specific gaging).
• Lead MRB and champions efforts to reduce scrap and rework.
