Job summary

Jabil in Florence, KY is seeking a Quality Engineer III (Lean & Continuous Improvement) to lead Lean projects, optimize processes, and ensure product conformance across manufacturing sites.

You will analyze quality data, conduct root-cause investigations, implement CAPAs, and drive SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans while mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in quality engineering, continuous improvement, or related manufacturing role.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Proficient in quality tools: FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control plans and specifications for ISO/IATF compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze yield, defect rates, and process capability to detect trends and propose data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to ensure quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide training and mentorship on Lean, quality tools, and CI methodologies.
• Perform internal and external audits to assess QMS compliance and identify improvements.
• Drive SPC adoption and use of statistical techniques to monitor process variation.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to management; track project status and opportunities.
