Job summary

Brooks Instrument, a division of ITW, is seeking a Quality Engineering Team Leader to guide quality, reliability, and continuous improvement at its Hatfield, PA site. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership of hourly Quality Technicians and close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in manufacturing; ASQ CQE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required; quality, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading work, coordinating priorities, training others, or providing technical direction.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality-management systems; ASQ CQE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the working lead for day-to-day Industrial Products quality activities and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate priorities, balance workload, and direct hourly Quality Technicians and inspectors.
• Coach and train Quality Technicians; ensure standard work and timely escalation of issues.
• Lead quality engineering activities, audits, and disposition of nonconformances with cross-functional teams.
• Review design, manufacturing, inspection, and test documentation to ensure requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain inspection methods, sampling plans, control plans, and quality records.
• Lead root-cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
