Overview:

Practice Fusion is seeking a passionate Quality Engineering Manager dedicated to creating life-saving technology for doctors and patients. This role involves individual contributions (test development and execution), process and procedure management, and people management.

Responsibilities:

• As a manager:
  • Establish performance goals for team members
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback on performance and development, addressing poor or mediocre performance promptly
  • Recognize high performers to motivate and retain key talent
  • Implement development plans and coaching to maximize individual potential
  • Foster team spirit
  • Induct new team members to quickly reach optimal performance
  • Allocate workload to utilize each employee’s talents and growth potential
• Participate in defining, leading, and auditing quality initiatives as appropriate
• Regularly report on quality metrics
• Lead or participate in standards-based compliance and process improvement efforts
• Manage Quality Engineering team members directly

As an individual contributor:

• Develop automation scripts in C# for REST web services
• Use SQL for database verification and functional test automation
• Collaborate to improve frameworks, methodologies, and processes for quality management
• Participate in Agile development, including requirements analysis and test planning
• Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing; analyze defects and produce bug reports
• Work with engineers and support teams to identify, log, and resolve defects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of Quality Engineering experience, including Agile, test automation, build/release procedures, and defect analysis
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities in a Test Engineering context
