Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Quality Engineering leader to guide a team of specialists and engineers in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. You will promote quality at every stage of the product lifecycle, drive audits and corrective actions, and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight hardware.

You will champion data-driven quality decisions, mentor staff, and communicate with leadership and regulators as required.

Qualifications

• MRB certification is required.
• 8+ years in aerospace/defense/advanced manufacturing quality.
• Direct people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and audits.
• Experience leading nonconformance and corrective actions.
• Experience with 8D, Fishbone, FMEA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop team objectives.
• Drive adherence to AS9100 and lead internal audits.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives (DMAIC/Kaizen/8D).
• Develop quality metrics and KPIs; manage variance analyses and CAPAs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing/Design/ Supply Chain and Test teams.
• Communicate status and corrective actions with regulatory bodies as needed.
