Blue Origin LLC is seeking a quality engineer to establish and maintain quality system processes across development and production environments for spaceflight hardware. You will ensure AS9100 compliance, perform audits, and drive corrective actions to improve product quality.

The role interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to review build documents, analyze data, and support root-cause investigations. A hands-on leader with strong data skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or equivalent STEM degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Quality assurance experience in production environments; aerospace/space launch preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems and related programs.
• Proficiency in GD&T fundamentals and dimensional inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and recommend improvements to quality and manufacturability.
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality concerns and develop training materials to boost quality awareness.
