Job summary

United Future in Fremont, CA is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager for 100% onsite work. Salary range is $130,000–$150,000 per year with full-time employment.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of EMS quality experience, 3+ years in leadership, hands-on PCBA/box build expertise, and a proven record in customer-facing quality management, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PCBA and Box Build manufacturing.
• Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs.
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes.
• Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality engineering team in EMS/PCBA manufacturing to meet customer expectations.
• Manage customer quality, escalations, audits, and complaint resolutions.
• Drive CAPA, 8D problem solving, and corrective actions across programs.
• Support SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes.
• Develop and maintain quality systems compliance (ISO 9001, 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and scrap.
