Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering Manager to lead and develop the quality team onsite. The role focuses on customer quality management, audits, and continuous improvement within EMS/PCBA manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years quality experience in an EMS environment.
• 3+ years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Hands-on PCBA and box build manufacturing quality expertise.
• Customer-facing quality management experience including escalations, audits and complaint resolution.
• Strong root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA and corrective actions.
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Drive continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and scrap/rework reduction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams.

Quality Engineering Manager

FREMONT AREA, CA — 100% onsite
Salary Range: $130,000–$150,000
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Requirements

1. Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.


2. Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.


3. Strong hands-on experience with **PCBA and Box Build manufacturing


4. Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.


5. Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs


6. Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes


7. Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.


8. Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework


9. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams

Preferred: ASQ CQE/CQM certification, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721.
