Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager for the Fremont area in California. This 100% onsite role leads the quality team within an EMS/PCBA manufacturing environment and partners with customers to ensure top quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in quality, 3+ years in leadership, hands-on PCBA and box build experience, and strong root cause, CAPA, and 8D skills to drive defect reduction and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Hands-on PCBA and Box Build manufacturing experience.
• Customer-facing quality management experience including escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Expertise in root-cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs.
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, and scrap/rework reduction.
• Experience leading and developing quality engineering teams.

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with **PCBA and Box Build manufacturing
• Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes
• Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams

Preferred: ASQ CQE/CQM certification, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721.
