Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. seeks a Quality Engineering Manager to lead hands-on development and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems and quality controls across the Gun Division. The role focuses on kaizen culture, process stability and 100% customer satisfaction.

You will coach engineers and production teams, drive APQP/PPAP, maintain the Quality System, and align supplier quality to prevent defects and ensure on-time launches. A proactive change agent for quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership to develop and improve manufacturing systems.
• Experience coaching manufacturing engineers and teams.
• Strong familiarity with APQP/PPAP and quality planning.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain short and long term quality goals for manufacturing.
• Maintain and improve the Quality System collaborating with Quality Managers.
• Lead New Product Development Quality and APQP processes.
• Develop quality engineering standards and robust measurement practices.
• Coach and mentor manufacturing team members in problem solving.
• Oversee supplier quality engagement and PCR processes.
• Lead and coordinate customer service repair KPI efforts.
