Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. in Mayodan, NC onsite is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering function, drive lean improvements, and partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and Supply Chain.

You will mentor engineers, manage capital projects, oversee tooling and fixtures, implement automation and inspection systems, and ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to lead engineering teams and projects.
• Experience implementing process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineers.
• Oversee design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Direct tooling, fixtures, gauges, dies, and equipment projects.
• Lead continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and Kaizen events.
• Manage capital projects, project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
