Job summary

PNC is seeking a Quality Engineer Manager based in Pittsburgh, PA. You will lead test planning, execution, and risk mitigation within the Technology organization, ensuring alignment with project goals and dependable delivery.

You will mentor Quality Engineers, manage staffing needs, and drive improvements in testing practices, data provisioning, and post-production validation to empower reliable, high-quality software for customers.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with relevant field.
• 5+ years of industry experience, including testing.
• 3+ years of management experience in QA.

Responsibilities

• Oversees test plan execution, ensuring alignment with project/program goals and resolving blockers and risks impacting timelines.
• Validates that data aligns to test strategy requirements, including System/Business End to End testing.
• Provides support to Quality Engineers for any issues related to test data creation, acquisition, and provisioning.
• Reviews post-production validation plan and works with team and business to evaluate outcomes, ensuring that results inform future test plans.
• Reviews planned changes and ensures testing has been completed to meet test strategy requirements and all testing risks are dispositioned.
• Identifies and develops mitigations and process improvements, communicating them to the Quality Engineer leadership.
• Manages Quality Engineer staffing needs and provides leadership with resource requirements during annual planning.
