Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) offers a 10-week summer internship in Atlanta, GA, running from May 24 to July 30, 2027. This in-person program is designed as a cohort experience, enabling interns from across the organization to learn, grow, and build connections while contributing to impactful projects.

As a Quality Intern, you will observe processes, map workflows, apply lean principles, and support documentation tasks to improve customer service.

Qualifications

• Currently a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering or other related field required.
• Engineering Drawing Analysis and CAD Design.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required; exposure to Visio, Smartsheet preferred.
• Strong analytical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify supplier warranty and labor cost recovery opportunities.
• Provide analytical support and negotiation fact bases to Category Managers.
• Support supplier recovery negotiations and implementation activities.
• Establish tracking, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms to measure recovery performance and savings.
