RTX invites you to join our Quality Engineer Intern program in Colorado Springs. You will support Mission Systems Ejection Seating with inspection tooling, root-cause analysis, and PFMEA activities to improve manufacturing processes.

As an enrolled engineering student, you will collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing teams, apply GD&T and 3D modeling, and contribute to process improvements while gaining hands-on aerospace experience.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and will remain enrolled for the duration of the internship.

This position is for a Quality Engineer Intern who will be responsible for supporting Mission Systems Ejection Seating in Colorado Springs.

What you Will Do

• Assist in the creation of inspection tooling and inspection work instructions.
• Reduce defects and escapes by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Support Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers with Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
• Implement process improvements using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Support the production shelf-life program and the Layered Process Audit (LPA) program.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and will remain enrolled for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Proven experience in effectively communicating across teams and platforms to successfully collaborate on projects and achieve goals.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), 3D modeling, and 2D print creation and interpretation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
