Job summary

RTX in Jamestown, ND offers an internship/co-op opportunity in manufacturing engineering. You will develop manufacturing plans for cargo system details and assemblies, including machining, sheet metal, painting, and assembly.

You'll gain hands-on experience with CAD tools such as NX, Catia, AutoCAD, CREO, and apply engineering specs to hardware production while supporting internal and external customers. US citizenship required and minimum 60 credit hours.

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Earned a minimum of 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.
  • Basic experience with MS Office and CAD software.
  • Relevant experience obtained through on-the-job training, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident ("Green Card" holder).

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing plans for cargo system details and assemblies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, processing, painting, and mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve process problems.
  • Create Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets (ISWCS) for cargo system assemblies.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events to enhance production flow, standard work, cycle time, EHS, 5S, and point-of-use efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by Manufacturing Engineers.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
