Job summary

RTX in Middletown, CT invites interns and co-ops to join our aerospace and defense team. You will create and approve assembly process instructions, support on the assembly floor, and help implement robust processes for production readiness.

Candidates should be pursuing an engineering or STEM degree with at least 60 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Prior RTX internship or co-op experience is a plus, relocation eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or STEM and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
• Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session; GPA 3.0+; rising junior or senior at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Create and approve Assembly Process Instructions to meet validation/certification requirements for commercial and military Development Engines.
• Support the Assembly Floor by driving the implementation of Assembly Instructions and troubleshooting any issues that may be stopping the Engine from being built.
• Drive the development and implementation of new and robust processes needed to ensure production readiness.
• Consistently work to improve technical proficiency.
• Review BOM to identify needed changes to engineering definition and/or work instructions.

• Proficient in Teamcenter, NX, Solumina & SAP
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
