Cleveland-Cliffs invites motivated interns to join our Quality Engineering team in Coshocton, OH. You will contribute to safety, testing, calibration, data analysis, and metallurgical investigations while gaining hands-on experience in a leading steel producer environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or related technical degree.
• Must be sophomore by Summer 2027 and legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly safety inspections and safety observations for the Metallurgical Department.
• Manage workflow in the mechanical and chemical test lab.
• Manage test equipment calibrations.
• Create operating efficiencies to support production, testing, and shipping with a lean workforce.
• Maintain the Steelmaking spectrometer lab, calibration, and on-call support.
• Conduct data-mining investigations on metallurgical grade performance, chemistry, scrap charges, etc.
• Support metallurgical maintenance and development.
• Coordinate 3rd party testing inspections.
• Track Steelmaking scrap, referrals, and diversions.
• Assist with metallurgical investigations.
